Book'n It Run Update
Every year, we look forward to gathering with our community, celebrating the library, and supporting literacy. Book’n It Run, and participants like you, help support increased digital media access, live-music programs, and expanded library hours and service locations through the Dream Bus. These programs are made possible through the community’s support of Book’n It Run and we are ever grateful.
This year is unfolding quite a bit differently than any of us had expected and the Book’n It Committee, along with the Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation Board, has made the difficult but unanimous decision to cancel this year’s run. We’re grieving the loss of this community event that we know so many look forward to, but feel strongly that there’s no way to guarantee the safety of you and our community. We also know that registration decisions were made in a very different economic reality and we want to be mindful of the potential impact these past weeks have had on our community. We will be in touch shortly with a refund of your registration cost.
While 2020 may look a little different in how we connect, we’re absolutely committed to staying connected. Our team is thinking of ways to safely bring participants together - one way or another - to celebrate the Book’n It community and the role the library plays in our lives. We’re confident this new reality we’re all living in can help us find new ways of supporting one another and the Sun Prairie Community that will last long after our safer at home orders and social distancing expire. We’d like to stay in touch with you as we figure out a way forward and invite your continued support of the Foundation and the Library, in the ways that make the most sense for you.
Thank you, again, for your generous support and dedication to the Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation. We look forward to discovering what this new chapter will look like, together.
In gratitude (and happy running!),
Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation
